Prof Fran Baum AO - The Stretton Institute, University of Adelaide
Professor Fran Baum AO is a public health social scientist and Professor of Health Equity at The Stretton Institute, The University of Adelaide. She is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia, the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and of the Australian Health Promotion Association. Fran is co-Chair of the People’s Health Movement Global Steering Council and author of the The New Public Health (2016, Oxford University Press) and Governing for Health (2019 Oxford University Press). Fran leads research on health inequities, social determinants of health, and public policies for a fairer, more sustainable and healthy world.
Andrew Reid - Centre for Health Equity Training, Research & Evaluation (CHETRE)
Andrew Reid is an early career researcher at CHETRE, part of the UNSW International Centre for Future Health Systems and South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) Population Health Research & Epidemiology. His research focuses on health equity, social determinants of health, and alcohol and gambling-related harms. Andrew brings 19 years of experience working with government and non-government organisations across Sydney's diverse and disadvantaged communities.
Delander Hayes - Centre for Just Places, Jesuit Social Services
Delander Hayes is an Dharug and Tharawal woman who is a Program coordinator at Jesuit Social Services Centre, Western Sydney. She is deeply respected by her colleagues for her collaborative and grounded work in the community. Delander has grown up in the Mt Druitt region and leads the work of social change within the Willmot community. Delander strives to live out her work guided by her personal and professional philosophy of ‘do no harm’. She started working at Jesuit Social Services in 2021, during the peak of the pandemic. She was appointed the Acting Manager, Western Sydney programs in March 2024 and has recently transitioned to Program Coordinator.
